7 Secrets: How To Create Money From the Level of Thought and Emotion

I’ve been thinking a lot about finances lately as I’m getting ready to upgrade my lifestyle in a big way.

I want a new car, a new guitar, (I always want a new guitar) time on the beach and more travel.

As I was thinking about these things and how to get them, I think it’s important to quantify clearly how much these items will cost so I can develop a plan on how to raise my income level or how to create money to get these items.

Since I’m a super-creative and an entrepreneur at heart, I’ve always found it easy to come up with whatever I desire in my life, quickly, easily and effortlessly.

I always start out with the end in mind.

Secret #1  Get Clear In Your Mind

All things in our material reality begin as thoughts so it’s vital that you begin to create at the level of thought.

So when it’s time to create financial abundance in your life the more details you can provide the better, so get out your pen and paper.

Write down the specific financial goals you want to achieve and when you want to achieve them. Include specific deadlines.

Of all the personal development tips I’ve learned in my life this tip is perhaps the most valuable:

Writing out your goals takes them from an idea or concept and transfers them onto paper and actually brings them into physical manifestation.

Once the end goal is clearly defined it’s simply a matter of targeting your intrinsic motivations.

Secret #2  Do What You Love

Doing what you love is always the starting point for deciding how to create money.

Intrinsic motivation is when your behavior is driven by what you enjoy doing without the need for external rewards like praise or getting paid.

Bonus Tip: When you are intrinsically motivated the enjoyment you experience is the carrot on the stick that will continue to drive you into the future.

Extrinsic motivation is when you do something because of external rewards like status, money or praise.

When you are extrinsically motivated you may not enjoy what you’re doing and this requires self-discipline, patience and dogged perseverance.

The good news is that it isn’t self-discipline you need, you just have to get clear on what brings you joy.

If you’ve done the work on yourself and identified what brings you joy, you can settle in and methodically set your course for success.

This means doing the little things everyday that contribute to the bigger vision you’ve set for yourself.

Secret #3  Break the Habit of Being Your Old Self

We are creatures of habit. We think the same thoughts day after day. If you’ve got old limiting beliefs or mindsets that are lodged in your psyche, no amount of positive thinking or good intentions will produce the results you desire.

So it becomes vitally important that you clear you psychology.

There are many ways to clear emotional trauma, blocks and scars, but in my opinion, the most powerful tools for clearing beliefs or mindsets that block your ability to attract financial abundance is: mindfulness meditation and coaching.

Both these processes serve to heighten your awareness, allowing your to identify and release limiting beliefs that keep you locked in old behaviors

You have to re-train and re-program your subconscious mind in order to release negative limiting beliefs, habits and behaviors. Then you’re ready to introduce positive beliefs and intentions so you can achieve your financial goals.

Secret #4  Vibrate At The Frequency of Wealth

If you want to do or have something different, you have to start vibrating differently.

You have to vibrate at the frequency of what you want to attract.

Your brain is divided into two main parts:

  1. You logical or rational brain
  2. Your emotional or feeling brain

Positive thinking affects your logical brain but real change and results occur when you are intrinsically motivated and this occurs in your emotional or feeling brain.

If your emotional brain doesn’t fully believe your logical brain’s vision, goals and desires, you won’t achieve your financial goals.

I’ve found that it’s very important to get emotionally-charged behind your desires. This is energy in motion, or e-motion.

Secret #5  Retrain Your Brain

Ask any neuroscientist, your brain generates electricity. You have the power to intentionally change your brain’s electrical impulses. This is called operant conditioning.

When you choose to alter your thinking, you alter cortical rhythms as well as the brain’s structure.

It takes retraining to get your emotional brain to fully believe and feel the new vision you have for yourself so I developed a tool called, “Guided Meditation for Financial Abundance.”

I created a binaural beat brain entrainment guided mindfulness meditation to help you feel and vibrate to the frequency of wealth. It retrains your brain to think in new sequences and patterns so you can mentally and emotionally rehearse a new way of being.

When you create situations over and over again in your mind, your body reacts chemically as if it’s already happened.

Practice this mindfulness meditation for 30 days and you will install new neurological programs that match your desired intentions for your desired financial future.

Secret #6  Create A Vision Board

Recently, I’ve been using a vision board to help ramp up and increase my motivation.

A vision board is simply a collection of magazine photos or images you paste on a poster board or store on your computer that graphically displays your vision or dream for the future.

Simply search for images that truly get you excited and motivate you. I had a so much fun creating mine. And it really got me excited!

KEY INSIGHT: Don’t be afraid to DREAM BIG.

When you have big dreams you vibrate at a different level of being. This makes you think in new ways.

If your dream costs 8 million dollars, you begin to look differently at your business and a whole new set of questions come to mind. You might ask yourself, “How am I going to create this level of abundance?” Or, “What do I need to do today to make this vision happen?”

It’s also important to look at your photos everyday. This can really ramp up your emotional vibration. I also do a short regular mindfulness meditation and visualization on my big dream – everyday.

Secret #7  Take Massive Action

All this dreaming and visualization is only the first step toward realizing your dreams. You must take daily action toward your vision.

On my daily To Do or Wish List I ask myself these 3 questions:

  1. What are my 3 highest impact producing activities I will get done today?
  2. What are my 3 highest income producing activities I will get done today?
  3. Whose help do I need and who needs my help today?

Ken, this is a great article. I loved the line:
“The good news is that it isn’t self-discipline you need, you just have to get clear on what brings you joy.”

You should write a whole book on this. It is a major paradigm shift for most people.

So many coaches say that in order to be successful, you need to get out of your comfort zone. That is the path of the extrinsically motivated.
The truth is that you only need to e-x-p-a-n-d your comfort zone. That is the path of the intrinsically motivated.

    Great clarity, as always.
